Where to go for factory tank decals ???
« on: January 03, 2007, 01:16:31 PM »
Afternoon,

Where should I go to get some replica tank decals ?
I wanna look at what might work on my CB450 tank besides what is supposed to be on their, but I wanna keep it factory at the same time..

As usual, ALL help is greatly appreciated....

a little while agao there was some concern about copyright and honda coming down on decal distros.  this is the one i remember people were still having luck with, but i think you have to call or email not just order on the www.

RepoDecals doesnt have Honda stuff, either does afe graphics...

That CB Decals place has lots of Honda stuff ,but not the ones I really want (CB360).
Plan is to do the CB360 "swoosh" on the freshly painted tank, along with the factory Honda emblem.

What about this?

I sent an email to reproduction decals, they do still sell Honda decals, here's Ellen's reply:

Terry:

Hi.  No you do not need to go elsewhere.   Unfortunately we have been
forced to remove all of our Honda decals from the web site as requested
by American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

I can still provide these decals for you.  I am attaching images of the
decals with part numbers and prices.  We offer free shipping.  These
items can be purchased online using Paypal from our web site's Order
Page, which is the fastest and preferred method. You can call or fax to
order by credit card or send an International Money Order in US funds
to:

Anybody used this place?  I'm thinking of ordering some stuff, but can't vouch for the quality.  They've been around a while, so I think they'd be good to deal with.

http://www.tapeworks.com/HONDA%20Pages/HONDA.html

You can get any decal any size and in pretty much any color you can imagine.  They've got some nice chrome and metallic looking finishes too.  Scroll down the the "individual" Honda decals for some more vintage looking stuff.

They also sell the material in bulk so you could cut stripes or whatever you wanted to match.

Someone awhile ago posted a link for reprodecals that still lists all thier stuff on their site, etc.  I'll see if I can dig it up...

Found it, just have to change the kaw/etc to hon in the link bar:

This is what I am talking about...

These on a blue tank along with the Honda badge should be tight...
