need pic of passenger pegs

Hi gang -

I'm at the point of putting the passaenger pegs back on the restoration project, but think I'm not understanding how they went on.  The braket seems to be much wider than the foot pegs themselves.  I assume there are some type of spacers involved.  Can someone snap a photo of a factory install so that I will know how they should look.

This is from an earlier K parts list, but assuming you have the 4-into-4 exhaust the mounting to the rear exhaust hanger bolts should be the same, or similar. Hope you can make out the detail of the smaller parts associated with the pegs themselves.

There appears to be a washer in your diagram.  Perhaps that is to take up the slack.  Does anyone know how thick it is?

well...it's hard to tell with the diagrams, but it looks like there is no spacer.  I guess the peg (part 24 in the first diagram posted, part 16 in the other) is suppose to be that loose of a fit within the bracket.  The washer, I thought was for spacing (part 23),  goes outside the bracket to keep the split pin from coming back through.

I guess if anyone has a clear picture of a real bike would be better for me.

they are fairly loose on the pin as the rubber, along with the big square washer keeps them tight to the bracket so they dont slop and rattle.

Hope these help. Note, it appears the pivot pin and associated cotter pin should be facing to the rear according to the parts diagram. These pics are from an earlier K model.

ah ha!!!!!!  Thanks Bob.

So the problem is that my brakets are somehow missing the two spacers that appears to be welded in on your pic.  I'm thinking that they must have fallen out.  Perhaps when the powder coaterer sandblasted them.  I guess regular washers will work.
