Got the holeshot again in round four (.07X), but it wasn't good enough. I was a tenth off my dial while opponent was close enough to his to make up the difference. All in all a very good weekend for me and I come away with some insight as to how I might keep my reaction times consistently low. This has been my Achilles heel to this point, so more practice is in my near future! I definitely plan to hone my launch skills before stepping up the performance. No point in going faster with poor technique, that would just lead to losing more quickly!
I'm pretty sure the round three victory (.007 RT) was my first holeshot win!
The round four "bye" was also earned with a .007 RT so they must have had to go to the 1/10,000 (or flip a coin) so I just missed securing the bye in round four by
THAT much.
Had the pleasure of meeting "Old Scrambler" (Dennis) for the first time, who thoroughly enjoys bench racing as much as the rest of us. Which is a good thing too, since that's the only racing we were able to do while trying to stay dry on Saturday!
