Bill’s out with a slipping clutch, Trey and Larry both lost round two. Frank is running an index class and decided not to run Street ET. I’m the only Cb750 left in Street ET today. 😎

Nice going Wilbur....

Faster certainly doesn’t make consistency any easier...

But when you are ready to go faster, you won’t be short on either support or help😉

Got the holeshot again in round four (.07X), but it wasn't good enough. I was a tenth off my dial while opponent was close enough to his to make up the difference. All in all a very good weekend for me and I come away with some insight as to how I might keep my reaction times consistently low. This has been my Achilles heel to this point, so more practice is in my near future! I definitely plan to hone my launch skills before stepping up the performance. No point in going faster with poor technique, that would just lead to losing more quickly!  ;)

I'm pretty sure the round three victory (.007 RT) was my first holeshot win!  8)  The round four "bye" was also earned with a .007 RT so they must have had to go to the 1/10,000 (or flip a coin) so I just missed securing the bye in round four by THAT much.  :(

Had the pleasure of meeting "Old Scrambler" (Dennis) for the first time, who thoroughly enjoys bench racing as much as the rest of us. Which is a good thing too, since that's the only racing we were able to do while trying to stay dry on Saturday!  :D

Wilbur was focused this weekend on making rounds and not personal bests. He came to race, and race he did. He's a contender at this point, not a duck. As the season moves forward, the veteran racers will learn to respect that old Honda and the  citizen rider. Lol.

Nice job Wilbur.

Here are a few pictures in the staging lanes from this weekends race. It seemed weird that i was taking  the images and not in them.

The man of the weekend. Look for this rider to show up in a final round before the season is over. He showed up with a bike tha had been in the trailer since the last race in November. He even had to drain the old gas out prior to the race. He then went on to make rounds. His goal was to earn points, not be the quickest or fastest bike.  His thoughts about personal bests was how many rounds could he successfully win.

Good job Wilbur. You made us proud

Looking good Wilbur.
I think a 4 or 4.5 longer arm could make it easier to ride. You Are letting the clutch all the way out when it wheelies.... how far out from the start are  you?
I see Dennis in the pic, and who is on the red Honda ?

Looking good Wilbur.
I think a 4 or 4.5 longer arm could make it easier to ride. Are you letting the clutch all the way out when it wheelies or still slipping it ?

The wheelie was my round two "bye" when my opponent broke in the water box. I was going "all in" to try and net an RT worthy of a round three bye, but all I managed to do was pull a nice wheelie, red lighted, and still won (being a bye run and all)!  8)

My best runs happen when I mercilessly slip the clutch off the line for a more controlled launch and smoother transition into full engagement. I am currently running a 79' DOHC swingarm that nets me +2" and now have a 86' GSXR swingarm (many thanks to "dragracer" Frank) that will net me +5".  :D

Lookin Good Wilbur. That arm should help slow the wheelies down some. Be sure to keep your shocks. If you can slide the front fork tubes up any, that will be helpful as well.
