Mecum Las Vegas

I don't see a live feed anywhere but the catalog has some cool bikes. There is a fake antique bike using using a Honda single cylinder engine. Says Olds on the tank. I would ride that just to mess with people.

Couple of observations:

The Honda GB500 in the Wednesday lot marked sold is supposed to be "all original". The exhaust is not. As is clearly visible when you compare it to the three GB500s in the Thursday lot.

The 1982 CBX in the Thursday lot was up for auction by Mid-America in a previous year either 2017 or 2016
Same for the red 1979 CBX with VIN 19552 in the Friday lot.

Both Kawasaki Triple 750s in the Thursday lot have a terrible decal application. No idea who paints these things so awfully

The 1980 Black CBX was for sale on ebay before. Last in September of 2017 in NV. Sold for 10K Mileage still the same

Check out the two Rickmans in the Friday lot. We may have seen one of the bikes before.

The extreme low mileage (4.7) 1981 CBX, Friday lot, has no saddlebags and no rear turn signals. A tell-tale feature of a "school bike", not a collector's bike

The black 1979 CBX , Friday lot, is, of course, NOT original. It is a repaint and has the wrong rear shocks, among other things

The red 1979 CBX in the Saturday lot is a low VIN but NOT early 1979 production. This VIN puts it into April 1978 production
1973 CB350F -sold
1974 CB350F -218 orig miles, sold
1976 CB750K - in restoration

Other Hondas:
3 x CBX
CB1100R
GB500
Plus Kawasakis, BMws & Ducatis

Your bike with 'Olds' on the tank sold for $4250.00 Don.  Thanks for that link Jerry, fun to buzz through quickly and check things out.

A couple years ago I spotted my old 76 F1. It went for $7750. Must have been multiple bidders. It had drilled rotors and the right one was moved to the left side, the right was left off as it was on ebay the year before. The sidecovers were a shade too light too. It was however repainted and had a nice stock muffler put on it.
