400F Gauge Repairs

I started rebuilding a '75 400F that I inherited, and it needs a bit of work. It's actually not in too bad a condition, but there are a number of  things I'll be asking for input on. Here is one of the first questions.

Here is a pic of the tachometer that came in the parts box:


Looking at the left screw post, it seems this was at some point broken off and has been brazed back on. This leads to the question of whether another broken stud on the speedometer can be repaired in a similar way:


I'm concerned about heat from brazing or soldering, so will JB Weld work here after inserting a stud bolt into the slot?

Also, on the tach picture you can see the chrome base the tach sits in is broken. Anyone have a spare?
