Ferrari and Shell - Gerhed LOOK HERE!!!
« on: October 05, 2007, 05:30:46 AM »
Video commemorating Shell and Ferrari's collaboration for many years.

This is bloody awesome, but then again, I love old racecars/bikes.  I hope you have a good set of speakers.  If so, turn them up.

Enjoy!

XTLN,

I saw this add when I was up in Vancouver, B.C. this past July.
I don't think it's shown in the states.
An add couldn't get much better, I'd say !
Thanks for the link.

XT,

Here's another shot of that #4 Ferrari --from the add.
I took it at the French G.P. in '71.

Awesome!  Thanks!

How no one has made 'another' Grand Prix movie in all these years is beyond me.  The cars looks and sounds are pure sex.

..and if someone mentions Sylvester Stallone's 'Driven', I'm going to throw up.  Bernie Eccelstone was smart not to let Stallone put the F1 name on that bunk.

XT,

I have a couple "Victory by Design" CD's with
Alain DeCadenet at the wheel.
I crank up the sound and the video is pretty good ,too.
Even though he seems to be driving around on someones English estate.

For a while there, Detroit hosted Formula-1 races right in downtown. Part of the course was directly next to our parking structure. You could stand on the top (5th floor) look right down on them and hear them scream in, brake and roar off after a 90 degree turn. Very impressive sounds for sure. The races disappeared for a while but are back on Belle Isle. I haven't been to those yet.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Thats great !

Welcome to the club Joe!  Seems that Italian Ducati is getting into your blood.  ;)

To all:  Here's a link to a larger version and you can also download it if you want.  I've watched this like 10 times today and I keep during my volume up louder and louder.  P.S.  I have a subwoofer and surround sound on my computer and this sounds wicked! ;)

Hijack all you want.   ;)

Too bad they didn't have the bonnet open on that Bentley.  I bet that's a sight.

Gave me goose bumps, so you know it's good sh!t.

Those old race cars are great, On the displays they should have mannequins of a driver and a mechanic hangin' off the side wrenching on something.  They were nuts. ;D

Awesome!

I recognized a few of the locations Rome, Rio, Monaco, but not all. Anybody know where that curvaceous coastal bridge/highway (at 45 seconds) is?

Saw a program on the tube about the construction of that curved portion that sticks out from the cliff--had to be built so as not to intrude on the landscape.--it was the very last segment completed of some lengthy highway.--of course I can't remember where !
--maybe coast of Italy--Sicily ?
