Get in my SOHC 2007 Calendar
« on: January 03, 2007, 06:24:53 PM »
Okay Guys,

I want to make a calendar for my office.  I just got a new color lazer printer and I need to take it for a test run.  Please post a picture of your bike with a description of its year and model (ex. 1972 CB750 K2).  I will pick 1 bike for each month for my calendar and if I choose your bike, I'll send you a calendar via US Post.  If you are interested, let me know.

Sparty, I think this is one coooool idea.  I may not have much of a chance against the talent here, but I'll get in early.  Mine is a '77 CB750k.

I got a color laser last year, and I've been printing out lots of neat stuff.  I've found that pics come out great on color laser gloss, and that most inkjet papers work fine in my printer (avoid the inkjet photo paper stuff).

Sparty, if you want one of the CR, have a look at the link in my signature.

If you want an action shot, go to bike talk forum and search 836 power, you'll find two pics of me riding the bike.

Burma you are in!  The CR carbs pushed you over the top, nice bike man.  What month were you born?  That will be the month for your bike's photo.  But I am also thinking of May, since yellow is a Spring color.

1978 K8 with Velorex sidecar.

I can send higher res images of either of these if you wish, had to downsize them quite a bit to get them to post

lrutt,

Nice bike, excellent condition and color and great photo.  You make number three.  Garnet is the color for January, but if you call it ruby, your bike will fill July's spot.

nice!  thanks man... that means a lot.  that is a downsized and lower quality version... if you require better quality, i've got it.

p.s.  dirt shoulder... i'd never ride for any length of time on a road like that.  at least on my present bikes  ;)

Thanks for the kind words.
All my bike consists of is lots of hours scuffing away with scotch-brite pads - lots of low gloss spraypaint - and time trying to see how
I can make it as clean/simple as possible...

i will submit a pic but in the likely event you get better examples of a 1975 CB550K1, i just want to know how much the losers need to pay to get one of these calendars.  it will be a collectors item for sure judging by the willingness of people to submit.  somebody should tell heffay to get a BOTM calendar up, it would be a good fundraiser for the site, and he must be done with finals by now.  way to ring in the new year with a classy idea sparty.
