Those black wheels on ebay are from a shop that just does that, custom wheels.
Tell them the size, finish, and type of spokes you want and they will ship them to ya complete..

There was a wheel with black hub and rim on ebay a while back with ss spokes. I thought it looked bad a$$. Do you have someone that can true the spokes for you? Have you laced a wheel before? Take some good pics before you take it apart. Count how many holes the spokes cross over to get your pattern. Or if you have another bike to look at it will be easier. Also there is an inside and outside spoke they are bent different at the hub. Do the wheels first so we don't have to look at them anymore in your pics :D ;D ;) Good luck!! Get a good shop manual and most of you questions will be answered.

I have had a shop manual, thats why i havent asked any questions about my bike  (which is why i was wondering why i needed to contribute questions in the tech section is i havent had any)  i could care less how the wheels look for now.... I'd settle for getting the engine back together and  cranking

My wheels will have red powdercoated hubs and rims w/ standard spokes.  I think it'll look great when finished.  Do what you like, who cares what someone else thinks, they don't have to ride it.

Guys,

The calendar will start in January.  My bike is the January bike just because I see it all the time and by the time you get the calendars we will only have a few days left of the month.  I hope to finish the calendars either Monday or Tuesday and then begin to print them out and assemble them for mailing.

Okay guys,

The calendar is full, well almost... I'll explain in a moment.

But first, I'd like some input on what I could call the calendar.  I don't want to step on any toes with a reference to the SOHC4 name.  (I'd like to make it a annual calendar and next year I plan to make the calendar a BEFORE and AFTER calendar, with photos of both the before resto/mods and the after results.  The year after that I'd like to make a CBs Around The World Calendar... Terry, you have to finish your project for this one.)  Anyway... help me name this year's calendar.

The following forum members will be featured in Sparty's First Annual SOHC CB calendar. (in no particular order)

Burmashave
lrutt
Proteal55
heffay
DME
736cc
seaweb11
Klark Kent
keiths
MRieck
Sparty
SAMCR750 (If he gets me a better higher resolution photo of the bike.  I tried using what he had on the site, but it broke up too much.)

Sam if you are reading this.. let me know if you have a shot of just the bike with a nice background, maybe at the track!  That would be great.

later,
Sparty

DME, I was looking through the gallery at caferacer.ca and found this awesome photo of your bike. This is definitely calendar worthy in my book. What a beaut!

Guys,

Many of you have been offering to buy the calendar from me.  For the guys who's bike will be featured in the calendar, I am mailing you a calendar as a Christmas gift, if you aren't a Christian, than it is just a gift. :D   I never intended to sell these calendars and I am reluctant to do so.  If you really want a calendar (other than the guys in the calendar) PM me.  I want to be fair and I don't want to make any money.  I really just wanted to have something cool to hang in my office.

Charge every one $20.00 and donate $15.00 to the "help DustHawk"  Covers your postage and every one would buy one
without question.  I've already sent the guy $50.00, but would like to see more done. ;-) Christ I hate to think of one of us in a shelter.  Lets get this guy in a place of his own! 1st month and security deposit can be done here guys. Lets make a difference.

You never no when you will need help;D

Perhaps if you don't want to charge any one due to the hassle, guys that get a calendar from you could just step up and add $15.00 to the running donation.

not sure about you seaweb  :P ...

anyway, i'll try not to be offensive with this post.  i think suggestions like this are all fine and dandy but, it really is up to sparty.  it seems that there is a runaway charity drive.  i've donated on the official donation page and i'll be purchasing a terry oil cooler so more money will be donated w/ help from terry.  so, seeing that, i've donated quite a bit (at least what i could on my student budget  ;)

it was dusthawk's story that fueled my charity... not the recent attempts that make me feel somewhat bombarded.

i know we're all trying to help and i can honestly appreciate that.  so, with that, i'll apologize if i stepped on anyones toes.

Yeah,  I'll let the BOTM club calendar do all of the hard work.

I am pretty busy anyway.

The calendar is finished except for SAMCR750's page, I need better pictures from him.
