sparty... how big do you intend the calendar to be?  i would think 8.5"x11" would be dandy.  it wouldn't be as large as most calendars but, is there a rule?  i was thinking landscape setting and the calendar with pic on top and calendar portion on bottom would make the whole thing 17" by 11" when opened for calendar use.  if you stuck with that size the paper is easy to find.

here's a name for ya

heffay,

You hit the nail on the head, the calendar will be 8 1/2 by 11, I have already desiged it that way.  Thanks for the name suggestion.

what i normally use is gloss brochure paper for things of this nature... should be able to find what you need at office depot or one of those places.

or is the sourcing just difficult because your house is a mess  ;) :D

Can't use that paper in my lazer printer, it will melt.  I can't find a glossy paper for lazer printers.

The Staples near me has a laser gloss.  I think it's about 32 lb.  Before they had the laser gloss, I used inkjet gloss without any problems at all.  In fact, I can't tell the difference between printing on either, and I've got some of each in my closet.  I've used several inkjet papers, including Staples magnet stock, and the only one I've had a problem with was the actual (expensive) photo paper.  Laser toner won't stick to photo paper at all, and it makes a mess, but otherwise, the toner has bonded fine with inkjet papers.

You may want to try it, even if it is inkjet paper.  Laser pictures come out great on gloss, and people can't tell that they're not the resolution of a really good inkjet.

Here is my entry, took the bike out today, a balmy 60 degrees, to the Saddle.
Since my Bike is average I thought maybe a nice scene in the back ground would help :)

I'd like to place my order for the calender when you get it printed up.
Maybe I can make it next year.

It's on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.  Unbelievably gorgeous and a nice twisty ride, although I haven't been there in mebbe 20 years. :(  There's a cool virtual tour of the overlook here.

And Rockin-M, your bike is not what I'd call average. ;D

The calendars are finished and I have a few of them printed.  I am not really happy with the quality of some of the photos, but digital images break-up at lower resolutions.  All-in-all, they turned out okay for a quickly put together calendar.  I had to reduce the size of the calendar due to image issues (low resolution photos).  You will see once you get it.  I still need a few mailing address from some of the guys.  I PM'd you.

I was in AZ part of last week, over the weekend, and early this week, so I am late getting them out.  I have to upload my pictures from the Barrett-Jackson auction/car show.  I took a few just for ProTeal.

I got to see many of the to be auctioned cars on Monday.  OH MY GOD!  Many of those cars were better than factory new.  You can't believe how deep the paint was on some cars.  It was like looking into a clear lake.  AWESOME!  I'll be going back in two years with the hopes of bidding on a car.

Guys,

The calendars will be in the mail by Friday.  I have been in and out of town this past week and weekend.

I am still not 100% satisfied with the digital images.  For the next calendar, all digital images must be of the highest resolution.  I also had some issues figuring out how to bind the calendar... I made do with the most cost effective method.

The calendars are in the mail.

For USA residents, you should have them by Tuesday.

For Canada, Sweden, and England I sent the calendars US Air Mail.  You should have them by weeks end.

Just tear off my bike on the Jan. month and see what follows...

Thanks for all of those who have submitted photos.  Enjoy!

HOOOOO HAAAAAA!  I got mine today too!  It looks awesome -- gonna hang it next to my desk.  The bikes in the calendar feel like old friends.

THANKS SO MUCH, SPARTY!!!!

P.S. The "old school" fasteners will work perfectly.
