DANG!!!!!  Looks like I missed this thread when it counted.  No time to read though all the posts but would love to see my '78 750F in a calendar (if it's worthy).  Are any of the calendars still available?  What's the cost?

I turned the page on my sohc4 calendar today (the million dollar cb was hard to flip over) and saw my bike sitting there.   i just felt like thanking you again sparty, for putting it together and including my little 550.  staring at what my  bike looked like when i cleaned it more than i rode it is probably just what i need to motivate myself to give it the much needed detailing it hasnt been getting.  so thanks again

Are you guys doing one for this year? I missed the boat last year...not that mine would make the cut but rather looking to purchase one for the garage for motivation...

sparty did all the work, we just sent high res images and hoped he picked us.  I would be happy to do the leg-work this year.  i am not sure what the selection process was (have to read back in this post) but i think it was based on how good the picture was as much as the bike (seeing as how i got in)  i also remember a first come first serve type of bike thing trying to get as many different examples as possible.  i wouldnt mind letting sparty do the selection process again and just foward me the pics for resizing calendarization and shipping.

IIRC the bikes were the winners of the "Bike of the Month" poll. We have another 10 winners to put up for the 2008 calendar.

if i recall correctly...
and i dont think Steve is RCing- i know for a fact it wasnt BOTM winners because my bike is in it.

Heffay did express the desire to do a BOTM calendar when he had 12 winners, and i just reread to find that sparty wanted to do a before and after calendar this year- which would be super cool.

Okay guys,

The calendar is full, well almost... I'll explain in a moment.

But first, I'd like some input on what I could call the calendar.  I don't want to step on any toes with a reference to the SOHC4 name.  (I'd like to make it a annual calendar and next year I plan to make the calendar a BEFORE and AFTER calendar, with photos of both the before resto/mods and the after results.  The year after that I'd like to make a CBs Around The World Calendar... Terry, you have to finish your project for this one.)  Anyway... help me name this year's calendar.

The following forum members will be featured in Sparty's First Annual SOHC CB calendar. (in no particular order)

Burmashave
lrutt
Proteal55
heffay
DME
736cc
seaweb11
Klark Kent
keiths
MRieck
Sparty
SAMCR750 (If he gets me a better higher resolution photo of the bike.  I tried using what he had on the site, but it broke up too much.)

Sam if you are reading this.. let me know if you have a shot of just the bike with a nice background, maybe at the track!  That would be great.

later,
Sparty

okay okay okay... everyone keeps pm-ing me and making suggestions so i'll tell you what i've got in the works as far as the BOTM calendar.  for most of us (terrys excluded) the calendar will be produced during the northern hemisphere's summer.  i figure it will give us something to add to our collection during the riding season (and that's when we'll have a year's worth of winners  ;) )

besides, i don't want to compete with sparty's calendar  :)  and besides, besides, calendars don't have to start in january do they?

KK,

You are welcome man.  Last year's calendar got off to a late start.  My selection process for the last calendar was simple.  It was on a first come basis and I picked bikes that I liked and that represented different styles.
My color laser printer is now DEAD, so I can't make them this year.  Sorry about that.

i am serious about doing the printing this year sparty, but letting you do the selection process if it is something you want to do.  the before and after idea is great and i could probably start a new thread asking for submissions, but didnt want to take the creative direction away from you- just the cost and legwork.  think about it let me know and dont apologize for some crappy chinese part infected printer that should be apologizing to you.

KK,

Knock yourself out man.  Do us proud.  I can help with the selection if you wish, but if you have other ideas... just say so.  It is a good idea to start selecting bikes now, so a post is a great idea.  I don't want my bike in the new calendar, let others have their chance this year.

and now, Sparty, Lucky the Superpickle, thanks you too.  i spent a good part of the evening binging back the shine i was able to eek out in the days when i was unlicensed, Lucky still had the texas tags that the po neglected to remove, and that parking lot was my only destination.  she seems to run better when clean somehow, maybe it was the weight loss of removing 7000+ miles of road gak.

i have decided to take on as much of the selction process as i can, but reserve the right to ask you to help me narrow it down if the submissions get overwhelming.  my first decision as selector is that sparty's idea of before and after shots is brilliant, and especially on a calendar, so all submissions must be two-fold and your cheescake must have a companion pile of cheese and cake shot to go with it.

Keiths,

You have a sweet ride. I'd love to have one like yours.  That is why it made the calendar.  Plus, you are a great dude.
