If it were Hawaii that would be Nutella and Spam...
Do Filipinos have a unique cuisine? A slow cooked pig can be quite tasty.
I am sure you will enjoy living there.
How is the island going to be for motorcycle riding?
You can tour the Imelda Marcos shoe collection while you are there...it is massive and much of the collection was damaged by water/mold/mildew so the full collection is not on display but it is staggering the number of shoes that are on display.
The RC30 is such a legendary classic...unfortunately I cannot deal with sport bikes, too much spinal stenosis.
Guy I know on CX500 forum has a couple bikes at Mecum and one of the guys on the list watched and wrote down the selling prices of a bunch of Hondas going across the block. The GB 500 went for 13k. Larry Cargill had a very very nice Cafe bike that had a lot of nice touches and was an attractive bike, it went for $6k. His '78 he restored to better than stock condition went for $7500 two years ago. He restored a 79 in this year's auction to a level a notch above that and I haven't seen what it sold for today. Hopefully for more than the '78...
Larry knows the CX and GL bikes inside out and does great work. He is working on a CX650E, the Euro model that was international and in Canada. They are nice looking bikes, they are a classic Honda styling.
There was a CX500 Turbo that was immaculate but it did not go across the auction block Thursday as slated. Larry intended to find out why it did not go to auction while there Friday. He will be taking the CX650E to Mecum Las Vegas next year and Mecum intends to do a feature on it as they have never seen one and do not know much about them. They gave a lot more this year on the cafe CX500 to help it in the auction. They were impressed by Larry's build and apparently like his work.
