Hi, hope somone with more knowledge on original spec can help.

The rear seat cowl (end cover) on a Sulfur yellow (y34) bike has a blue pinstripe, was this original?

I have found some images with on line but not in US brochure.

Info on here suggest side panels should be black, but ones that came with bike are a dark, slightly metallic grey.

Seat side strips have a thick yellow stripe applied, initially thought non standard but see parts list shows these in different colours?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Stripe is factory as far as I can tell, you are correct that side covers should be a dark metallic grey. Seat trim was colored to match the paint, they used a vinyl inset on the stainless seat trim.

No factory stripe on the tail piece but the tank looks correct.

Even though the side covers are "phantom black", the paint is more flat grey/black.. No clearcoat on the side covers.

Pics of my never used NOS sidecovers..

Do you happen to know if the F2 had clear coat on the side covers and rear cowl?
