Old guy story, back in 69 or 70 my brother bought a 450 with knobbies and a side pipe (SL?). He swapped to street tires and a 2-1 hooker header. That thing ran like a scalded dog, later when he bought a K4 750, it was kind of a letdown. He said it didn't seem that much faster than the 450.
I like your carbon parts. I had some sheet carbon, fiberglass ingredients, and a piece of kevlar/carbon sheet left over after a funnycar roll cage job. I formed it plywood style into a fork brace for a cb900c that came with no front fender. Other than making some dragster body panels from sheet that's the extent of my experience with it.
