This story moved me. I won't give too much away for the moment (plot spoiler), but I think it's worth a read:

Thanks for sharing Kev. I have had drivers come across the center line at me before, and by the grace of God I'm still here. David Evans didn't have a chance. I feel for his family, that is the worst thing, besides him losing his life...

Seven years in prison and 6 years of no driving.  So in a touchie-feely world he can start driving again 1 year before he gets out of jail! I would hope he NEVER sees the light of day again.

Agree. That's the only upside in this sad tale, a professional who took his job seriously and fought for justice for a murdered motorcyclist.

There are so many warped and screwed up people out on the roads, I see them every day.
And then you have an idiot like this out there.... glad he's away for a while, but they were really lenient to him, for a deliberate action. That sentence should have been for a distracted driving type of incident, not a deliberate attack like he did.

Kudos to the investigator.  7 years for intentional homicide????????????there was a similar case on the Northeast extension of the PA turnpike, young woman was run off the road by someone I know father, he also only served 7 years.  While ago a man shot and killed a young woman on route 202.  SAD goings on...Larry

Hi Larry , the sad thing is he'll be out in in less than 5 years. Then he can keep doing his sh1t while a decent family will continue to grieve. It's enough to make a statue weep.

I've had it happen to me years ago and I got mad enough to pursue it, the only reason it didn't go to it's logical conclusion is because I couldn't find gravel at the side of the road big enough quick enough by the time I found some the opportunity had passed, so after that I packed some small stones with me for years. I swear I was mad enough that if I'd had a .22 I would have murdered him and all his family.

Kev,  he was out after 7, IIRC he was sentenced 7 to 15.  Now, the guy who shot the girl is a different story.  Should be executed but we don't do that..............Too bad...Larry

I don't know that is how it works. The story doesn't say 6 years from when. It might be 6 years from when he is released.
