Wiring Question
« on: January 04, 2007, 08:21:11 AM »
I am in the stage of fitting the wire loom and wasn't sure if I have to attach another wire to the positive lead on the battery? The original positive lead was shot but it looked like there was another wire attached with it. I do have a red/white wire with a male end sticking out of the loom. Is this to put charge back into the battery? Bike is a 1976 CB750K.

Cheers
Paul

On my '77 CB750k, the positive battery terminal has a single heavy cable connected to it.  The cable runs to the starter relay. On my wiring diagram, there is a red/white wire that runs from the starter relay to the rectifier.  As I recall, that wire has a ring terminal on the starter relay side.  Also, the red/white wire joins the starter relay where a red wire does (two wires on the same post).
