Topic: Some good news for a change- update

 Last year I posted about a guy I know that was in a bad bike wreck. Things didn't look good with a head injury from an older lady that pulled out in front of him. I can't find that post but that's good.

 Anyway, I lost track of his condition after months of no good news, I don't see his brother anymore but at our car club meeting Tuesday night I heard he is back home, has called the guys at work and inquired how his projects were finished and asked detailed questions about how they did them. He has resumed his schooling that he was doing before the accident and fully expects to return to work as soon as possible.
 He also plans to ride again, said this #$%* ain't keeping me off a bike. Hopefully I'll see him around the restaurant and I can buy him breakfast soon.

Good news indeed. Always glad to hear something work out well for a change. Was he wearing a helmet?

 No helmet that day but I'm assuming he will need to use one from here on just for common sense and to protect existing damage.

  It always amused me when the cool Harley guys would give us a hard time for not looking cool in our big white helmets. WTF.

It is a fact that white helmets are seen, and seen better than any other color of helmet out there... I like to wear my white helmet on trips! I think it reminds the cagers that it may be a policeman instead of just a motorcyclist... so they 'see' it better lol.

 Good thought Charlie, I avoided the black ones because of how hot they get on the outside. My Daughters race helmet gets really hot hanging on the roll cage of her dragster. Often I'll throw a towel over it.

Black is naturally a hot color... it sucks up any heat it can, especially from the Sun! I had One black full face Bell helmet, back in 1982. It would cook your brains on a hot summer day.

 My buddy came over to check out my siding. He's back to 100% working and doing awesome. He works for the city and was striping a street late at night. A truck drove through his traffic cones and came right at him. He said I saw this MF'er and was ready to throw a flashlight through his windshield. He stared down the driver and had a talk with him right there.
  Edit, He said I've been run over before but this time I saw the guy and thought all right, bring it on. I think he dealt with his demons that night.
