WOW :o  That is one major mod all right ...  Don't think mine will end up looking like that.  If it does, I would appreciate it if some one stole my bike and put it out of its misery.

There was a dick on here a year or two back who hacked the frame around on a perfectly good Cb750 to make the worst monstrosity of an underseat pipe I've ever seen, he actually cut thru his frame rails forward of the shock mounts to make it fit, the moron.

While we're all individuals and can do what we like to our own machines that we've all worked hard to pay for with our own hard-earned moola, blahdy blah blah, there are those amongst us who should not be allowed within 500 yards of a hacksaw, by law.

If you're gonna do it, plan it, measure it, draw a scale picture of the planned mod and and err on the conservative side, or else other well meaning members here will say terrible things about you when you proudly post your pics of this major home-grown mod. Cheers, Terry. ;D

I saved a pic of said monstrosity.....WARNING.....don`t look at it too long or you will get retinal burn :o

Thats killer.. :o

That is one god awful looking bike, but I have to admit that I looked at that pic for a long time. I'm amazed that someone took so much time and effort for something so awful. What's even more amazing is that Einyodeler saved the photo for later use.  ;D

Except for the Honda badge and paint, it looks like something out of The Road Warrior.  :(

The worst thing, from my perspective at least, was that some of the suck-ups here actually commended him on his work at the time, and scolded me for saying that it was shiite.............. Oh well.  ???
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

would the extra pipe length cut down on the performance?  since the most direct route in exhaust with least resistance yields best performance..... (or I could be wildly mistaken)

Yeah that was pretty bad. I think the bike design itself must be taken into consideration. An older style liek that needs to have more than clubmans abd a crap seat put on it, to pull off an exhaust like that. The loder tanks also do not lend themselves very well to something like that.Too bulky looking and not streamlined enough. they just stick up too much!

That's not an exhaust, it's a chimney!!

I can't believe you're not impressed by that, a steampowered cb, brilliant!

Just like some people should never be allowed to operate a gun or a motorcycle, there are those who should not be allowed to operate tools of any description..........  ;D

Whew, ugly as a mud fence.

Guess it just goes to show that while just about anything CAN be done it doesn't necessarily mean that it SHOULD be. I think it's a perfect illustration of the difference between fashion and style.

I didn't notice the frame hack till you mentioned it in this thread terry, but now that I see it, it makes me nervous. Bike is a death trap.

Ha ha, well, "credit, where credit is due" Geety! I've said before that the trouble with this forum is that we try to support each other, even when, at times, we really should be telling each other the truth.

There are a couple of other "customisers" here who have done some shocking work, but I haven't seen the need to openly insult them, because, as crappy as their bikes really do look, they aren't necessarily dangerous. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Well to be fair even I thought it was ugly - just it had potential if he 1) got rid of the catylitic converter, 2) reworked the rear section, 3) switched to a box style swingarm that allows the exhaust to pass through, and 4) ran the system full underneath instead of up the side. None of which happened.

If I ever decide to do a turbo bike I have my own routing system that will exit under cafe tail. But I doubt that will happen as I have two other bikes to build before that.

Well you must at least say one thing. at least he did try something different. Something that has not been done much. it may not be safe, it may not look pretty but at least he has tried something different. It is still a good idea, just not the best in design.
