Hello from SW Colorado
« on: February 12, 2018, 10:53:11 AM »
Hey there, everybody.  Living in SW Colorado and have recently adopted two project bikes, a stock '78 CX500 in near-new condition and a '71 CB500K in great condition.  I only intended to start one project, so I was forced to refer to the CB as "my wife's new bike" in order to stay out of the doghouse.  I'm riding the CX while the CB is in pieces.

By the way, I'd like to create a signature but the Profile tab takes me to a place where I can't seem to edit my bio.  Sure I'm doing something wrong.

Welcome from Texas.    Good strategy on the CB bike.

You may need a few more posts to be able to add a sig.

Where was the meetup?

My latest bout of Moto Fever just hit me in December.  I haven't owned a bike for 3 years or so and have never taken on a true project before.

That CB looks pretty good except for that Fugly faring and the high bars.

What is the plan?

Thx Jerry- looks like fun.  If it happens in the area again this year, count me in.

Something close to this, except not orange and I'll probably end up with a front fender and a short rear fender.  And better tires.   :D  I like that this has a very custom look and yet retains classic elements of the stock bike.  You can still "see" the CB500 under there.

Happy to ride!  Let’s see if I can get these bikes together by summer.
