Japanese article
« on: February 12, 2018, 02:20:13 PM »
Well, I just happened to get a feed into my timeline on FB from a Japanese FB friend and saw a picture of my bike along with Fastbikes- Z1. I can't read Japanese but there is a translator you can use and man is the wording in English disjointed. Lol

Hey Frank,

Jim French sent me this too. Way cool!! The Z1R is the bike I bought last year from the widow of an old friend that passed about 1.5 years ago.  His name was Andy Schmitt and was one of the best humans I ever knew.  He was funny and witty.  I made a few changes to the bike with the help of Jim, took it to the ManCup last Nov. and went 4 rounds on the first race!  I left the paint job that Andy had painted as a tribute.  I think he would be proud.  It made me proud.  This bike will be my ET bike, and my red bike will remain for SC.  I will be installing a 1327 cc piston kit on the SC bike this weekend.  Hope to see all the SOHC contingent at the next ManCup race in April.
I'm not as smart as I look, but I am pretty.

David, I'm glad to find out more about your new bike and what it means to you. I was watching you make rounds and hope to one day see that bike in the winners circle. Happy to see it included in that article- whatever it says.
