1975 CB750F Main Stand Assembly
« on: July 18, 2018, 10:50:46 PM »
The foot on my main stand in the stowed position interferes with the drive chain. Is there a stop that limits the up travel so it doesn’t contact the chain?

I have the same bike. I believe there is a rubber bumper on the underside of the frame towards the right side which prevents it returning too far. Can snap a pic this weekend if you need.

Yes.  That would be helpful.  Here are a few pictures of mine.  I just removed the stand to clean and lube the pin. I didn’t see any signs of bending.

Just checked the parts fiche.  It shows a rubber bumper on the muffler.  I’ll check my muffler which is not been installed.

Yep, that's it, at least on a stock system.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

The fix is to make a bracket , it fits between rear peg and frame.
Make it so the stand stops just under the chain.
The stock F and K had bumpers on the pipes to stop it.
