The Bonneville Bucket List Reunion
« on: February 21, 2018, 06:24:17 PM »
I've always wanted to go to Bonneville, but never made it. Back in 1980, I sent away for the SCTA rule book, and found my Seeley would have to run in a very fast class, due to the 836 bore and non-stock frame. :( It's still on my bucket list to go, even if I can't play. ;D
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

My buddy went to so cal a couple years ago and got a tour of many of the hot rod shops. He said most of them have a Bonneville car sitting around out back. I'd think seeing it would get in my blood more than it already is.
I checked into converting our dragster into a legal lakester. It might be good enough for the mile with 2K worth of tires wheels and gears.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

It's a must do..
 Rarely does anyone regret it..
Only a few people that can't handle the heat did not enjoy it
Might not be the best for Gene, but plenty of aircon in town.plus we can go to Carmens Black and White Bar.
I was in there and met Fritz Egli briefly.. cool cool place..

On my list as well.  I would like to stop at the Alvord Desert, then hit Bonneville.  If you go, say hello to Ab Jenkins on behalf of all of us.

We'll meet you guys there. Don't puss out on us. Check it off yer list!!  ;)

Frank can sleep in his tent at the bend. I'll be in an inexpensive $35 air conditioned motel room  ;) with cold beers at the ready and a cool shower at days end. The Black and White is always good.

No tent for me, the night sky is spectacular there.
Splitting a room can be quite reasonable though..
