I am sure this has been mentioned before but I wanted to share something I found that I think is going to make a huge difference in the carbs performance. The accelerator pump nozzles are an issue for pretty much every one I have read about. Trying to get the pathways clean especially the nozzles. Well I just pressed mine out cleaned with a thin wire and now they spray. Not just squirt spray. It is actually a fan spray of fuel. So if your nozzles are not spraying good press them out clean them. Mine all had corrosion and the wire opened up the hole. Here is a picture of how I did mine. There is a plug and a nozzle.

I’ll give that a shot. What are the chances of replacing the fuel lines without splitting the carburetors and dealing with all those springs flying all over the place? Can new fuel line be manipulated enough to be installed in situ? I’m sure I could look it up, but does anybody know the size of the fuel line?

Yes you can. Keep the brass that are in the original ones. I use 1/4 inch polyurethane fuel hose.

The fuel line is 4mm size. Try to use some that is not rubber, because the ethanol-laced gas softens it a lot and makes the outer squirts not work as well. The popular stuff recently is either clear or black opaque. Motion Pro sold some good stuff for a while: I used all mine up and need to find some more!
