Fuel Connections to CB550 069A Carbs?
« on: March 17, 2018, 11:52:36 AM »
I recently picked up a set of 069A carbs to replace my PD46A carbs on my '77 CB550K...On the 069A carbs, there are two fuel hoses coming out of the engine side of the carb bank, one hose into carbs 1&2, and another into carbs 3&4.

On my PD carbs, there is only 1 fuel connection from the petcock to the carbs, so do I need something like a Y-connector to run from the one petcock outlet into the 2 fuel hoses in the carbs? OR should I just get a new 2-outlet petcock?

I'm assuming the two hoses are for fuel from the main fuel supply setting and from the reserve setting on the 2-prong petcock, but does that even matter if I only have one outlet on my petcock? If not, do I only need to connect to one of the fuel lines?

Thanks and sorry in advance if this is a really dumb question!

Just use a Y or a T fitting to split the fuel line.
