Hi,

I have seen that CycleX hardwelded rocker arms have a much better price. Are they done locally by CycleX?
- Anyone here that have tried them, preferable hard use in a racebike and later inspected the wear and found them OK?
Is the finish and durability of these as the Dynoman and Megacycle alternatives?  Other alternatives?

I have a hardwelded cam that probably need hardwelded rockers as I have understood when reading posts here about hardwelded cam vs stock rocker arms and opposite.

Find a local shop that does hardwelding of rockers. Or somewhere near you

Usually shop that does it do it in this way(for sohc example)).

1. They remove chrome on 7 rockers, they leave one intact
2. Hard weld surface on 7 rockers with removed chrome
3. They put rockers in replicator machine(one by one probably) with master sample being the one rocker that is left intact.
 Replicator machine copies/grinds surface according to original one
4. When 7 are finished they repeat for one left

For that matter, you can bring in a full set of 8 plus one extra to use as the profile pattern.  This allows all 8 to be done at once, saving both them and you the extra time/money.

I found a place out in Cali that does it. They also make custom rocker towers/shafts and billet roller rockers. A billet roller rocker would be quite the setup for sure. For the $800 some charge to hardweld Ill bet you could get most or all of a set of billet roller rockers custom made.

Thanks guys for the responses. I do no have any cam welders around here in Sweden I'm aware of that can do rocker arms. I found on internet but that will probably cost more than order megacycle version and I'm not sure they do rocker arms.
The best is if they have done CB750 rockers before.

CycleX has a good offer for just under 500 USD.

I have used 3 sets from cyclex, never had issue.   Two sets are in drag motors and one set is in a street motor but none get many miles on them.

I am paying 15eu locally per rocker... Pretty sure you can find someone locally/nearby country... It is a standard job...

A quick search found one mechanic that did that 2005 for almost 40 euro each. That man was old back then, maybe not in business today.
It would be better if finding local alternatives like CycleX, order 8 rockers, no cores to be sent in. Shipping from USA and customs here will add some.

I got just an email answer from a guy in Germany that has raced his CR750 for many years with stock rockers. Min 0.1 mm lash and a good oil was his recipe to avoid problems.
I hoped his shop had improved rocker arms on the menu toghether with the +90rwhp upgrades he has.

My hardwelded cam got company today. The fresh rocker arms look good. Pads will hopefully be parallel with the cam lobes 

One old rocker arm with chrome still OK as a reference.
Lets see when I'll change cam to the 125-20 and the new rockers from CycleX (by Web cam)
The cam that sit now need 4-2-1 and new dyno run first. Then swap cam and another dyno.
