Somebody send him a goddam oil filter housing. Geez!! this is getting ridiculous. You WILL spend more money unless you give the fukr away  It's an old SOHC4 and you have to spend money on them especially when you #$%* them up.

What Frank said. Your vice grips are the wrong way round.
I couldn't remove mine and ended up carefully cutting the head off, remove filter housing and the rest of the junk bolt was easy. You can't reuse that bolt anyway.

have you knocked the flange part of it around in the undo direction with a chisel yet?try and use the shallowest angle you can get a bite on.

I think a lesson can be learned here. Don't over tighten the bolt and use a 6 point socket to remove it. I have seen new bikes with the same issue back in the 70s. Once you muck up the bolt head you basically will have to blast to get the thing off. Hopefully the threads are not bound from corrosion, however at this point you don't know. If the bolt head is dremel'd off at least you now have access to get the bound threads apart (heat and lube) without destroying the crankcase. So you wreck an oil filter housing with the dremel, get a new one or spin on filter.

Update: I had a friend come over and try with the vice grips, he threw his back out.

Tiger saw with blade long enough, cut the filter cover in half. Then  easier to grip the struggling piece of bolt. 
Off with bolt and the cover remains and pee on it while you scream, get that, get this. Finalize with petrol and flame the sh!t.
Order new parts and be happy.  I guess there is a spring and a  washer to not forget inside with oil filter.

I had this exact problem and actually took it to a guy who works on classic bikes. He charged me $50 and got it off... he actually just used a flathead screw driver and notched it / pushed it.

I had tried everything to get the bolt off and the bolt was WAY more mangled than any of your pictures have shown.  The fact that he did it with a flat head screw driver made me pretty impressed.  I didn't read this full $hit $how of a thread, but hopefully that helps.

good luck.  My bike was out of commission for 30 days last year because I couldn't get the oil filter bolt off. I know the pain.

I told you how to get it off the day you posted it. Vice Grips won't help, neither will BP Blaster or such.

Go to the hardware store and buy a cold chisel (these are made for metal vs a wood chisel), you want one about 8" long.

Position the chisel parallel to the front of the engine with the edge resting on the flange at about the 11 o'clock position so that the shaft is mostly vertical. Parallel to the cylinders is important because then when you strike it with the hammer the chisel will bite into the flange and not into the housing.  A basic claw hammer might work, but a small sledge is better.

At the expense of the OP...it is getting rather dramatic, and being curious by nature, I keep coming back to watch the story unfold. Vise grips, chisels, bodily injuries, hammers and the like...I hope it doesn’t turn into another “Murphy’s Law” episode.
