I got my jeep back on the road.  ;D

It has retrofitted TBI from 4.3 Chevy while the engine is AMC 258. Uses inline electrical pump on the frame,  i had two and apparently both were bad, they would buzz to prIme alright but no fuel pressure at the TBI.

Got new Walbro GSL 395 and all is well.  My daily driver since 1998 :)

Now about the deer season :)

I just got my JEEP project back from the tranny shop where I had the guys change all 4 oils underneath and add the MGC and other BG stuff to the auto 4-speed. Needs a new windshield, steering shaft, front end drag link and steering arm, and brake booster, all sitting int my garage.
Then, to get ready for taking the camper into the hills soon, and remembering we are having increased bear troubles in my favorite areas, thought about an upgrade 45 ACP for those long walks in the woods: and a vintage one just popped up! So now my motorhome will have its own protection handy when we use it. :D
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.

I just picked up a Sig P220 45 ACP. Still waiting for delivery though, hopefully sometime next week.

Pulled the seats out of my '70 Corvette.

Will be replacing the cheap aftermarket seat covers with quality 100% leather.

Pretty dirty under there, will be cleaning that up before reinstallation.

Dang Bear, that motor might find the weak link in the driveline.

The previous unit sorted all that out Don.
Unfortunately it broke a crank prematurely.
I'm hoping this one will see me out.

Cheers,

That's the plan Uncle Tez.
We bolted all the ancillaries on this arvo.
Just waiting on new oil, transmission coolers and engine mounts.
Then we'll slot her in. :)

Started dismantling the rear end of my GL1500 to change out the tyre. So far I've got the body panels off. Baaaastard of a job. Tomorrow I'll try and get the wheel out. The current tyre is almost like new but in has a manufacture date of 0708 - over 11 years old. The front will be done later. It's dated 0808.

PFT, you worry too much Krusty, the tyres on my 2007 Triumph Rocket III are the originals. The bike was built on the 8th of July, but the Tyres may be much older, (I only remember the build date because my brother ordered it with a build date as close to his 50th birthday 7/7/2007 and it was built on my wife's 46th birthday 8/7/2007) and with around 13000 Km on the ODO aren't in the most roadworthy of shape, but I figure that if I put some heat into them and try not to keep the speed below the imperial "Ton" (@4000 RPM) it'll be safe enough for a few more runs before I have to fork out for new ones? Geez, they're still full of English air! ;D

Saturday morning I swapped out the faulty throttle body assembly on my Caddy. Several other projects have accumulated however including, the left front outer tie rod, both front brake rotors and pads, and the bushings in the lower right side control arm.

The problem is that I am really busy right now and just don't have time to devote an entire day to the garage to do all the work. Heck, I had to break down last week and pay someone else to change my oil because I had been at 0% life for 10 days. It sucks not having my own garage or access to one that is closer than 45 miles (minimum of one hour of driving here in Chicago) away.

I have a 2009 Cadillac SRX V6. It's up to 111k miles and so stuff is wearing out, especially suspension components from many miles on crappy Chicago streets. I will say the body is still tight, no rattles or squeaks at all.
