Thanks Dwight, I do miss the old buggar, and feel really guilty when I'm ratting thru the stuff in his garage, I can almost hear him telling me to "put that down" when I'm looking at his tools, that are all mine now.

I turn 59 in March but my youngest is 33, those kids are growing up so fast it won't be long before they're older than me! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Ha ha, nice one Brian, and Happy Birthday mate! Yep, hoping to get to PI this year, but my fitness is still a problem, so I'll have to play it by ear mate. Geez, looking at that pic of Dwight, we could be brothers! ;D

Holy cow Terrance.  Skinny old sausage.
Are your arms getting lots of veins in them or do you need to start pumping a bit of iron and get all buff?

Thanks Ken, the good thing is I've lost 48 Kg so far, the bad news is that because I can't eat solid food yet my muscles have wasted away to the point where I can't get my CB750 onto its centre stand now, so I really need to get some protein into me and hit the weights. Oh well, I'm not gonna get type 2 diabetes, so I guess thats a good start. ;D

Started my Kubota tractor with a stick  ;D

Apparently the stop solenoid is bad, it would start and die.    Solution was to wedge a stick behind the lever operated by the stop solenoid.

Thought about shoveling it out. After shoveling the car in front of it, I reconsidered.Maybe tomorrow.  More snow this coming weekend.

I'm headed up to Minnesota Sunday from Chicago to pick up the 750 F3 I bought a couple month back (that is part of why I have made all the repairs on my SUV recently so that it was in top shape for the 1000 mile trip in the Winter). It isn't supposed to snow (or not much) but the temps will be in the low single digits.

I was finally able to install bearings in the steering column of my CJ7.  That thing almost got me beat.

If you think you are a mechanic, try rebuilding steering column  >:(

Tried replacing the light bulbs in the overhead lights on the wifey's Town and Country.

Those things were burnt to a crisp almost. Can't find them in the local auto stores, even the dealer.

Found them on amazon and other places for 6 to 8 bux a piece.

Went to the pik-a-part to get a spare tire carrier, and decided to check the bulbs in those vehicles, and those all were burnt just like the ones in her van.

Must be a Town and Country thing.
If it ain't raining, I'm riding.....~~{iii}?~~prost

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.

Thanks. And now apparently it is going to snow here in Chicago today and tomorrow, 8-10 inches. Hopefully by the time I leave Sunday morning the roads will be mostly clear. But if not I have AWD and lots of experience driving in snow.

What sort of mower Scunny? As much as I'm not that keen on mowing, I love anything with an engine, so I've got 2 barrel mowers (one Briggs, and one ancient BSA) plus my ride on, it's an 11 hp Briggs, but I've got a 23 hp Briggs V twin which needs to go on, once I get thru all my other unfinished projects! My regular mower was my dad's rover electric start, which is fcuking useless on wet grass as it just gets clogged, but fine in summer. Maybe we need a mower thread? ;D

Aussie made Rover with 2 stroke suzuki motor. The coil on the magneto called it a day and parts not available. Got given another mower with the B&S motor but no catcher, so swapped motors.

Good job, I threw out my dad's old mower (that he gave me when he bought the rover) which had a perfect Victa engine, but the frame was falling apart. I should have kept the engine, but I've got too much crap that I'll never use, as it is. I just pushed it out onto my footpath and left it overnight, and in the morning the mower fairy had taken it away. ;D

Raised the front 1” with some spacers to level the truck, wired in fog lights, air intake, and got a custom tune installed.
