I used my non motorcycle vehicle to tow my two new to me motorcycles to the car wash. I washed the barn find bikes in a blizzard and by the time I was done the sun was shining.  A short time later the blizzard came back for a few minutes.

I like your personalised number plate on your other non motorcycle vehicle Don. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I got my 85' GMC S-15 pickup back on the road with a new clutch. I blew the center out of the clutch disc on a 3rd to 4th shift. It had 30k hard miles on the clutch. The truck is my little hot rod. The 2.8l V6 engine originally had 110hp. After I rebuilt the motor it is now 3.1l putting out around 240hp. The only stock parts left of the motor are the block, rods, oil pan, timing cover and distributor. It handles pretty good with a 2"/3" suspension drop and good shocks. It's my daily driver because I hate driving boring vehicles. 8) Here it is behind the Sabre.

Thanks. I had it on a car and truck and another car spelled slightly different. My neighbor asked, how can you have the same license plate on three cars?  I put the front plate on another car and parked it in the driveway too just to wind him up a little.

Race Update: a few weeks ago, at Mosport, we raced in torrential rain, all day Saturday. In the last hour, one of my team mates “ran out of talent” in Corner One. We took the car back to the shop on Saturday night and pulled out the saws all. Repaired the rad, did the alignment, and ran the full 8 hours on Sunday. Lots of work to do this winter....... Tough weekend, but I still managed 148 laps at my favourite track.

That sucks to have to take the sawzall to it. Sorry to see and hear that... Glad you were able to get it back on the track Sunday. Racing in the rain is tough, as is riding in the rain...
Could have been far worse.
Glad you and your team managed to finish the season and races Sunday.

I woke up thinking it was Sunday today...

I did turn the fastest lap in the rain, so truthfully I had a pretty good day! Sunday was sunny and dry, so all around a fun weekend. I’ve done much worse!

It does suck that we so damaged what was truly a lovely race car. This was the third season with it, so we were planning for something different in 2022.

At least it wasn't a vintage Ferrari or Aston Martin or something uber expensive

Nope, I don't think would have taken a sawzall to a Ferrari or Aston Martin David. I'm getting mildly excited as the Annual Bathurst 1000 race is being run a couple of months late in December the 5th. It's the only car race I watch now, I've been watching it since 1977 and just love the spectacle of watching some of the world's most talented car racers driving around quite a technically difficult track at insane speeds for around 8 hours.

The support races are great too, lots of Porsche's (I'm not a fan, but they do look nice) and more importantly lots of vintage Australian and American iron battling it out for a trophy. Some of the cars being raced are worth more than my house, but the drivers aren't frightened of swapping paint, and some get quite damaged, but they're back again the following year for another race. Much more interesting than looking at static displays in a car show or museum. ;D

Today I cleaned the two AC units on the roof of the Butter Cream Dream. They were dripping water a little on that 6000mile journey west and back, don't want a repeat of this on trip to Ft Myers for the month of January.

Took about 4 hours including the obligatory trip to Lowe's to pick up some thin sealing strips and two sided tape.  Always leave it better than you found it.
I tell my wife the motorcycles are an investment...

well i destroyed my brand new cv joint puller, not hard enough, the clamp ridges just folded over in the axle groove and the main frame began to bend #$%* it!!,so took the axle off the car(wifes 1999 hyundai)and with the tripod joint wrapped up i carefully cut the cage to release the balls and main body, then even more gingerly cut the hub star in half without hitting the axle, new joint on,what a #$%*ing drama, little hidden snap ring just didnt want to pop.
