its mazda soul red premium metallic,has a few faded spots but its 8 years old,gave it a clay bar wash,polish and wax this morning,wifes happy,i see the guy who invented candy apple red,Joe Bailon  died at 94 in 2017.

well my wife got 750 you beaut aussie dollars for her old Hyundai!its gone to a good home a Hyundai racer,coupla wreckers places answered my add we will take it away for free for you etc,one offered 200 bucks declaring lucky to get offered that,screw those dead beats!!these in full race trim can cost a few bucks!!

 I've been under the 69 firebird chassis project. I got the rear brake hoses sorted and made weld-on tabs. I'm now looking at fuel line, E-brake cable and brake line routing. I think I'm going to drop the rear axle down as far as possible to make access for welding the tabs and brackets.

Steve…... I think it’s more like a 302 (can’t recall)? No cats, but it was the year with an air pump. Disconnected many years ago. Because it was used for plowing, was ordered with low diff ratios. Despite that, surprisingly gutless. Just right for what I need!

Years ago, when it still had brakes and a fuel tank, it used to pull race cars all over the province. These days it never leaves the property. When it finally dies, I’m going to back it into the bush on one of our trails, so it will be around forever!

The plan is to keep it running! Pulling out our oil furnace in a few days relieves the pressure. Keeping the driveway clean enough for the regular oil truck visits has always been a challenge. The new heat pump changes the need. I have a snow blower in the back of my Massey Ferguson tractor for big snow falls and most months my wife’s all wheel drive SUV manages o its own. I’ll probably just pay a local guy to plow on demand…..

I still have my 93' F-250 4x4 7.3L diesel that I bought in 98'. I bought it as my last big truck and it's still running strong. One reason I bought it is it's the last year of the mechanical injection. No computers or sensors to fail and any engine parts like glow plugs or injectors are much cheaper. Since it's a diesel all the running gear is 1 ton stuff. I'll be able to pass it on to my son when I can't climb up into it anymore.

Been seeing some impossible maintenance things Ford and others are doing on some of their trucks. Bolts you cannot get anything but an open wrench on mounting a tranny to motor and the bolt backs out towards the motor! Motor mounts in way of bolts for accessories and motor mount removal is major job. Things you have to remove a truck's cab to access for repairs. Insanity

It has Skyjacker soft ride springs and Superlift Super Runner steering linkage to eliminate the Ford Twin Traction Beam steering wandering. You would be surprised at how well it carves corners. Every person who knows Ford trucks that's driven it has commented on how well it drives.
The Banks Sidewinder turbocharger kit just makes it more fun but I did have to install a Detroit Locker in the rear axle to pull away from a stop sign without spinning the tires.

Spent the day loading my trailer with our oil furnace, tank and all the rest. Heat pump should be running by midday Friday! Thank goodness the weather is gorgeous today. I should have been riding!

Put a new set of platinum NGK's in the '02 Tundra.
After 60K since the old set it was time.
The truck was very happy.
Next week it gets fresh oil.

I'm not selling mine, I bought it 26 years ago for $16k. It was all stock and non turbo. I put a Banks turbo kit and better radiator on along with the a stage 1 towing transmission with a double clutch torque converter to back up the suspension mods. I spent almost $10k on the mods. It now has 142k miles and is a working beast. It would likely cost at least $80k to $90k to replace it with a modern truck that probably won't outlive this one.

 I'm finding my way around new from scratch brake lines on the Firebird project. I decided to run 1/4" from the M/C to the splitter in back so I'll need a roll of copper/nickel tube for that, the rest will be 3/16"

old heavy duty basic tech stuff like that lasts forever as we all know,i drive modern heavy duty trucks for a living and they go into limp mode and what not for no #$%*ing reason other than a sensor or some other annoying #$%*,i used to drive old macks and worst thing might be two injector lines rubbed together and through but easily fixed with bronze over repair till new line made or purchased?plus I miss that old rolling coal!!

I installed a cheapo but well tested dash camera in wifes new to her Mazda,got all the wire hidden under the headliner,down the A pillar once popping of the door seal and sill tread plate etc,direct to the fuses,all neat and unseen,pretty impressive as Im not even allowed to sit in it!!
