Hi
I'm new to the forum and am posting this to introduce myself.
A 'born-again' biker the wrong side of 45, I hail from a coastal town about 50 miles north east of London, England. In my youth I had many Jap bikes, and looking at the prices now wish I'd hung on to all of 'em!
My current 'baby' is a CB750F2 which I have completely rebuilt from the bottom up. I'll post some pictures in the gallery shortly. I've set the electrics in a Santee style box, and re-jigged the oiltank to fit inside the frame. A newly fabricated battery box fits snugly in the other side and stainless side panels complete the job, which has all served to reduce the bike's width considerably. Add a set of T bars and various other period aftermarket goodies and one-off bracketry (thanks, father-in-law) I think I've ended up with a pretty nice looking bike although I suspect the purist fraternity would be horrified!
Anyways, along the way I've learnt loads and hopefully I'll soon be sharing my experiences to help out with member's problems. These forums have certainly been invaluable to me!
Regards to all, Happy New Year, Spring is just round the corner so get spannering!
