Handling of CB650z 1981
« on: March 17, 2018, 02:06:23 AM »
Hi There,
I have recently purchased a 1981 CB650 thats been sitting for many years Got it running, Beautiful bike with 60ks on the clock, But it seems very floaty in the front end, even at 60 or 70 ks, Tyres are not the best, I will change them for sure, But it just feels a little strange in the front end, Or is that just the way they are, Cheers Steve.

yeah don't forget these are old bikes,if you've mostly ridden later bikes these are a step back, check your steering bearings etc, also check the swing arm bushings, shake it left to right forcibly.

Cheers Dave,
Yeah will check steering brgs and swing arm,( Thanks) I have always had old bikes, Just sold a X7 which was only a 20k on the clock bike and it was so tight, and also had a  1986 FZ750, which was not all that flash handling wise, But i think the CB is the worst Bike.  Cheers Steve
