If we are talking about a CB750 then based on what I can see regarding the condition of your harness at this location of high amperage alternator connections I would do two things:1) Replace the "sub harness" between the alternator and the main harness. Parts-n-More part number #24-4021http://www.partsnmore.com/parts/honda/cb750k/?q=24-40212) Replace the female connectors on the high amp yellow wires from the stator:http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,148188.msg1688494.html#msg1688494This will help stave off electrical gremlins at this weak point in the wiring harness. I usually replace the male and female bullet connectors on the yellow wires at this location of every CB750 I lay my hands on. The old insulators are typically fused together and have to be cut apart. I cut the old connector off right at the crimp and only sacrifice less than 1/4" of wire that way. The female connectors from the stator are a little tough to do in place (without removing the trans cover or stator) but it can be done.

Vintageconnections.com has the tool and connectors you need. They also have nice kits that are nice to have in your shop.

The 4mm bullets are bigger than the 3.5mm connectors that are used on the SOHC/4's.
I've got the same one. It was a Christmas present from my sweetie. It'll probably go on this weekend. I'm hopeful it will finally cure the phantom neutral light problem that has plagued me for years and likely help the weak charging too.
Super helpful guys! Thanks a bunch. 4into1 cart getting heavy hehehe
