Hello from Texas
« on: March 24, 2018, 07:58:47 AM »
Picked up a 78 CB750F at an insurance total loss auction last September.

It was a theft recovery bike, looks like someone had stolen it for parts. Anyhow, it came to me with no stator, no field coil, no stator cover, no sprocket cover, no points plate or advance... and so on.

Bike now runs, and is almost completely back together. Just sorted out my charging issue yesterday and have a new reg/rect unit on its way to me.

The points plate, cover and advance came from eBay, the stator cover, stator, and field coil came from a local guy who had some leftovers.

Oil pressure gauge from a guy on eBay who makes the converted oil galley plugs, points and various gaskets from 4into1, eBay replacement of the #1 carb, tail and turn lights from Amazon, lamp bucket from 4into1, and a boatload of labor...
