Greetings from the California Central Coast!
« on: March 24, 2018, 04:27:51 PM »
Hello SOHC/4!
I'm really looking forward to being part of this community.  I grew up seeing classic 70s Hondas zipping around, and now I finally own one.  It's a 1977 CB550F Super Sport that was in pretty rough shape when I plucked it off Craigslist (see attached picture).  It hadn't run for many, many years, had the wrong 4-into-4 exhaust, and it looked like the last owner started a cafe conversion, but ran out of steam.  I'm going to take it the rest of the way to that goal.  The engine is now running strong, but the clutch has issues that I'm currently working on.  There were also a bunch of missing parts here and there, so that has also been a challenge.  I've already learned a ton from this website, and I hope that I can contribute too.  All the best ... and ride safe!
