Are these CB750 mfg. date codes?
« on: April 10, 2018, 06:23:13 AM »
These numbers are stamped on top of trans case on Early CB750 motor. Numbers are located on top of case, at rear, near the top rear motor mounting through bolt area. Is this a date code and how does one decipher? Thanks for info. Paul.

Count the clutch cover bolts, those look early.  It could be a sandcast case, if so there will be 9 cover bolts

Definitely sandcast cases. Should be very low vin #, less then 1000. May 19 manufacture date.
