Didn't even listen. Unbelievable. But want to get on here and bash it. You are excused I guess. You obviously have no understanding of the processes that take place just the design the front hub. Ignorance is bliss. Too bad silence is a virtue.
Take it easy. Modern motorcycles are not for everyone, and these avant garde designs often divide people. Since you have no vested interest in the project, just allow others to express themselves. Dave is a very traditional guy who appreciates the elegance of simple things. And he's very entitled to his opinion, that you need not take personally.

I appreciate the bike, but do not care for it aesthetically. But I have reams of respect for Stephan and Alan and all the good folks at Revival. Since they did not make the bike per my schedule, my opinion thusly does not matter (nor to them).  :)

I don't care for the way it looks either but to call it #$%* engineering, and such just makes him sound ignorant and makes his opinions invalid. Especially if he couldn't even take the time to listen to the entire video. I can't stand people that bash others that are different than them or have a different style than they like. It's nonsense to bash a group of guys making motorcycles out of a small shop BY HAND. It's everything we should embrace as a motorcycle community. Revival does some amazing work and they do it in a small shop. It's the damn motorcycle American dream man! Don't bash it.

The concept of calling bull#$%* the stinky brown pile that it is is also nothing new.  Time to realize not everything on the internet is worth attention.  Ironically, I think all the defenders of said pile have bikes much more worthy of attention in their own garages.

Coming from a guy that just looks at pictures. Can't even take the time to watch or listen. Your opinion is void because you lack all the information to have a valid one.

Some people are just miserable and take it out on others. Even those with the same interests. Sad. Insulting even those who are learning and growing. I'm glad their are others out there doing stuff with motorcycles and learning to work on their own stuff. I commend them and I don't destroy them. I guess it because I have self confidence and I'm comfortable with my manhood.

Calling this heap of iron a "bike" or "motorcycle" is a tad far fetched for me. I realize that some millennia designers having to get their wet dreams into reality somehow is a common thing. For someone who owns 4 CBXes and bought one new in 1978, this whole thing is nauseating.

I should point out, if nobody tried anything new, we would stop moving ahead.
I bet if we got to see  the first tries of many mainstream concepts, they might look pretty corny..

754 you are right. People thought the same about bicycles, motorcycles and automobiles when they first started being developed. The ignorant of the times thought the horse was better. But thankfully the people designing them did not worry about the ignorance and misinformed; they kept on doing what they loved.

I'm not hot and I believe you have every right to hate it. I would still drink a beer with you. I just don't agree with bashing peoples stuff and the actual engineering they used to produce the front hub and front and rear suspension is impressive for a small shop like they have. They make some cool stuff by hand and I don't think they are the average hipster builders.

Come on, guys.... Does anybody REALLY believe this thing is "new" and a move ahead??? Considering the serious engineering that goes into today's bikes to make them rideable and excellently handling, this thing is a joke! I don't care how much they time and effort they spent to give it a hub steering front end that Bimota had decades ago. Yes, it belongs into a museum. A museum of weird and useless styling efforts. Not in a motorcycle museum.

What I got from it was they tried something new in the hub of the steering.
So if they did it a new way and it worked well, that is a plus.,
And face it, not everyone can build that kind of stuff inhouse, or even at al, for most of us..
I liked the use of the carbon fibre strut.
I bet this design would be comfy on the long hauls some long bikes are not.
I dont think anyone inferred it was an improvement over the stock CBX.

If all you have ever done is buy NOS parts and stock parts off eBay you wouldn't understand. But if you have ever had to actually fabricate something with a welder, grinder, and trial and error you would appreciate what they did in a small shop. To compare them to a multi-billion dollar corporation is ridiculous. Of course a factory built bike made by a machine is going to be better in many ways. It's the ability to create and fabricate a working machine that some people appreciate more than store bought stamped by the millions parts. Some people don't have skill to understand.

Damn man...gonna have to go with some others here and agree the act of effort isn't for everyone, but you seem to have a personal vendetta on this thread which harks of #$%*ing about which oil is better than another.  Throw a crazy ART design out there and no matter how cool the design concepts are they aren't always the best for usability...and that what a lot of us are focused on.

Personally I think it's cool as a project showing how you can add style into engineering...but would I ride it to work?  No....but doesn't mean it's not a neat piece

Everyone had different filters they look through...no need to get worked up on opinions.  Hell I love Tom Waits and appreciate why others dont   ;)
