CR26 Carb Questions
« on: April 09, 2018, 07:05:27 PM »
Hello All,

Hope I have this in the right forum. I have utterly confused myself on the connections on my CR26 carbs. I've not dealt with carbs a great deal in this type of setup. Hoping someone can set me right.

On the side of each carb there is an elbow connection. After some research I believe these are part of the choke circuit. If I've read correctly I can simply leave these be.

That would leave this "T" fitting between #2 and #3 as the fuel inlet, yes? This is what should connect to the tank. The other two capped fittings are part of that circuit but are just capped, yes?

Hi,

You are correct, the vent below the choke is not where the fuel line connects.  My advice is to replace the stock pet cock with a pingle as the CRs depending on your motor can suck up more gas than the stock pet cock can flow.

Ah, great. thanks man!!

Actually just ordered a pingel guzzler and a pingel inline stainless filter. I was running into some clearance issues with the stock unit regardless.

I was just looking at your pictures and saw the air pod. I am getting the new CR26 carbs in the mail today for my 77CB400F.
Can you tell me what is it and where you got it?
Thanks

It is a Cognito Moto unit. The spacing for the CR26 is a little different than their normal one. I sent the carbs out to them, they measured it up, made the box, and sent it all back.
