There's a racing type, standard type, and then this type....

Anyone tried one? Wondering what the differences are between them...

They specify K0-K6 wich is wrong.
K6 need the outer fiber plate with wider tabs usually slanted. The photo seems to show 7 identical plates. The small tabs will get a huge play in K6 basket and plate can crack.  My bike has got wrong clutch back in the 80's by sellers that do not know(care about) the differences between clutches.

Hi Nobody,
I've got Yamiya 'Easy' clutches in all 3 of my CB750's now. I bought 1 to try out & liked it, so replaced the other 2 with same. I'm working from memory here, so bear with me. It comes with 6(?) steel plates. Of those, 4(?) of the steel plates have no dimples. They are completely smooth. These non-dimpled plates get inserted into the middle of the clutch pack. I guess the idea is that this stops clutch drag, but still allows drive. I've given the clutch some curry from traffic light starts & no slipping either. It certainly worked well on my bikes. I've got nice smooth shifts & going into 1st it doesn't clunk. Shift action actually improved once it got a few miles on it too!

Ps there doesn't appear to be anything different about the friction plates. It all about the 4 x smooth steel plates. I guess you could take to your dimpled steels with a sander & achieve the same result?

Thanks for this information Disco. This is exactly what I needed to know.
I actually have 6 of those steel clutch plates that are smooth. They are Honda replacement parts that
I got off E bay several years ago (NOS). I just installed them this morning, and was able to shift thru every
gear with engine running, clutch pulled in, and the bike not moving. This is encouraging, but I need to road test it to verify smoother shifting. There were issues of severe clunking from neutral to first, and 1-2 shift
difficulties before. I found transmission wear contributing to these problems, and replaced it with one from a
F model. Still had smooth shifting issues, and suspect the clutch may have contributed to trans problem.
I installed the plates as you described, as it made sense to me as well. Hoping this is the cure for a balky
shifting transmission :)

Hi Nobody,

OK, I took pics of the Yamiya Easy clutch instructions that came with the kit.
I had it the wrong way around. The 2 dimpled discs go in the centre of the pack. The 4 x smooths go the outside (2 each side).

Posted instructions below here for future reference if anybody wants them. Dunno what happened to last 2 pages, If I can find the originals I will take better pics.

Disco, I deleted my earlier post about the order of installation of the 4 smooth steel plates. I'll have to re do mine. It wasn't perfect, but much improved over what it was previously. I'll post results once I have them.
Got my hopes up it turns out even better..

Update:
I installed plates as recommended with about the same results. Still though, it's something I think is worth trying if you're in the market for a new clutch. Thanks for the pics.
