picked up a second motorcycle stand cheap today
« on: January 07, 2007, 05:14:37 PM »
I saw this on Craigslist today. Only $20. It is a racing motorcycle stand so the starting height is much higher than the hydraulic shop lift I am using already. I will have to find a way to get the bike on top of it. Otherwise it looks pretty sturdy. I couldn't pass it up at that price.

Hey Greg,  Be careful buddy. Those things are for lightweight motocross bikes and the pedal is to lift the bike. You could use dirt bikes on it but, I wouldn't put a heavy Honda on it. Just thought you ought to know.

Hey, I hate for any of us to have an accident of any kind, you know? Now, that was a good deal on that stand, in my opinion, if you have a dirt bike. It made me a bit nervous when you were wondering how you were going to put your bike up on it. My cheap pc is a bit slow an I was trying to get back to you ASAP and let you know what I knew about those stands. I have a couple of those hydraulic motorcycle/atv jacks and they're a bit of overkill for my DT400B, MX400B, DT250E, Kaw F9 350 and anything that lightweight or lighter. I've considered getting one of those later on down the road myself. You take care and I'll catch you later on,  Bill :) ;)
