The 'nipples' that the fuel line plugs into on the carbs swivel and each one(there are two) has 2 orings on each side for a total of 8. Look for 8x2mm to replace those.Sometimes they will also heal themselves after they get exposed to fresh gas again.

Well this has quickly escalated from just trying to get it started into a mini project money pit ! The more I tinker with it the more I realize I need. So far I have bought a
Battery, plugs, oil, carby kit, soda blasted carbys, steering head bearings, wheel bearings, shock absorbers and clip ons.
Just need a new wiring harness, swingarm bushes, tires, new brakes, progressive fork springs and I should be good to go.
The mrs is thinking I should have left it under the blankets, haha
Cheers

Well think of all the money you've saved over the last 12 years and it won't hurt so bad mate. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

While waiting for bits n peices I thought I would sand down the triple clamp for a repaint with black wrinkle paint, I went a bit overboard with the sanding and started liking the look of it so kept going with it. Can I leave it as it is now or will it require a clear coat to keep it looking this way  ?

Just tried out my new ultrasonic cleaner and I have to say I am impressed with the results, my carburetors have never been cleaner. Installed the new jets , gaskets etc. So looking forward to see how it runs soon

Yep Ebay , I was a bit sceptical of how it would work but it works a treat. It even did the tiny screws inside the carby slides after putting them in a zip lock bag with a bit of water
