The things I noticed were

Connect the clear pipe direct to the bleed screw, don't use the little black thing that will be stuck in the end of the clear pipe when it turns up

Open the bleed screw further than you would I'd you were just hand bleeding, probably a full turn

My compressor refill kicks in at about 50psi and it didn't seem to draw the fluid too well below that. So as soon as the compressor kicks off on the refill I've been stopping and waiting till it gets back up to full pressure

Keep a close eye on the fluid level in the mc, mine was nearly emptying with each "suck"

My brake bleeder arrived yesterday, I didn't have any problems bleeding the brakes on the Max bike, so I won't use the bleeder on the FJR1300/GSXR1000 brake combo, but if I have any problems I'll whip it out!

Today was an unallocated activity day so got down and dirty with the zzr
Ever since I got the new tank from Italy I've not been able to see how it mounted, today I used logic and lined up the wear marks from the isolating rubbers, the rear bolt holes and ....aha, the front mount doesn't line up, must have got a knock in transit, a few gentle persuasive taps with a number 4 hammer and success, one job done
Next, mix up some coolant 50/50 with water and started pouring it in the filler neck, then ran to get a bucket to catch it as it ran out the bottom of the motor. Let it drain out, replaced the O ring and did up the retaining bolt properly and no leak, another job done
Next fill up the shiny new battery with acid , only  problem was it doesn't actually fit in the battery box.....bollocks. minor recompense is it fits the satanic Hyosung that I'm trying to sort for a mate. So job 3 turns out to be sorting another battery rather than fitting the one I've had on the shelf for months
Soooo, next was at least get some oil into it, however it seems that the oil I thought I'd had on the shelf with the battery was actually car oil so there's job number 4, get some proper oil

So, two out of four jobs done, which for me is not a bad average at all

Well done Spotty, I'm trying to work out why there's such a large gap betwixt frame and tank, I don't remember it being so with the old tank? But then again, I'm very old, and don't remember what I had for breakfast, so I'm sure it's not an issue, just looks odd? And what's wrong with car oil? I've never bought bike specific oil, although I may with the 1428 build because I've thrown so much money into it, another 50 or 60 bucks for some fancy bike specific oil won't make much difference, to my already melted credit card?

There's a whole load of plastic that fills in those gaps and then a whole load more that goes on the outside
I'm not sure about the oil but some have friction modifiers that will cause terminal clutch slip, I had planned on buying Kmart oil to start it up, then do an immediate oil and filter change with something decent but the stuff on the shelf is a reasonably flash Renault oil and I'm not sure if it's safe to use
And for once.......better safe than sorry ( or putting a new clutch in )

I think when the automotive oil has "Energy Conserving",etc. written on the container that it has friction modifiers that will impregnate your fiber clutch friction plates and they will continue to slip after that..
Do you have Shell Rotella T4 15/40wt truck oil over there ? The back of the container gives one of the safe additives for wet clutches as: Jaso Ma/MA2.I run that oil.

Finally with the help of my mate Jules got the throttle to return all on its own, got it to do so by relaxing every bit of adjustment on both cables
Why this would be the cure is beyond me, but it works. It has left an annoying bit of looseness in the throttle grip but probably no more than is recommended in the book, I just like no slop in the take-up
Also introduced oil to the engine, then while trying to work out how to prime the oil pump, let it all out again, then out it all back in again
I may have to borrow the electric roll starter from whoever has it at the moment to prime the oil before start up day
Took the back wheel out to bodge up repairs on the cush drive ( slices of push bike inner tube around the metal towers to take up the slop )
This is the recommended method of repair on the zzr sites, you can of course replace the rubber parts but they don't last long and this bodge works better
So walk the dogs, drop the chainsaw off for repairs and hopefully a day of bike fixing today

Sounds magnificent Spotty, I'll have a jar of each, please? We can use the term "Coon" cheese, because the company was named after the man who created the brand, who's surname was "Coon". (Edward William Coon) Our "white folks are all racist" over-educated but not particularly intelligent PC Police went after the cheese company years ago to have the name banned, only to find that it was named after a guy who was a "Coon" by name. Yep, interestingly there is a theory (supported by some leaked Chinese Communist Party documents and emails and PM's in the US between various left wing organisations) that the riots were encouraged, and in some cases financed, by the CCP. The Chinese news services were having a propaganda field day with reports that America was imploding from within, that there was no law and order, that the POTA was hiding in his bunker under the White House while America burned, etc etc. Why? Supposedly to distract folks from the Corona Virus and the repression of freedom of the people in Hong Kong, and the world pointing their fingers at China. Interesting times.

One bodged cush drive, one slice of bicycle inner tube on each post and no slop in the back wheel, woohoo

And the breads turned out lovely though the habanero bread could have been hotter, use more actual chillies next time, probably with cheese as well

Anyway, off to put some more zzr11 together, and find somewhere to store the bicycle parts where no-one will see them and accuse me of being one of the Lycra locust crew, that's worse than someone thinking you ride a scooter

Made a spacer from a large washer so the bar ends wouldn't bind on the throttle tube/grip, even painted it black so it wouldn't be obvious

Put the shiny new  petrol cap on the bright green tank using blue anodised bolts, looks lovely.....
Eventually the tank will get painted and the bolts will be replaced with green or black or silver

And last post for the day....

I hate electrics, after much thought and study of the wiring diagram I finally worked out that the starter motor wasn't connected and neither was the clutch cut out switch

So attended to those and..... nothing

I get the idiot lights coming on, however they are brighter when the kill switch is in the OFF position, when the switch is turned to ON then the lights dim and the tacho turns round to 3K

Indicators work sometimes and the headlight doesn't seem to want to glow in the slightest

Horns work

When the ignition key is turned on the fuel pump does nothing
