I've been looking for a reasonably priced dual sport for a little while. I saw this s90 on ebay for pretty cheap and it wasnt too far from me. The red neck part of my brain took over and i decided it would be the perfect candidate to make into a dual sport. Perfect other than the weak chassis and almost everything about it. I want to keep this project cheap. I paid 106.50 for the bike. I think i can sell off what i wont be using and make that back with maybe a little leftover. For suspension its going to get a complete front end from a kawasaki kx250s along with the swingarm, mono shock, and rear wheel. All of the kx250s parts are free, sort of. I'm rebuilding my buddies atc125 engine in exchange for those parts. For the engine, i was thinking id go with the daytona 190 with the 212 big bore kit, but that same buddy said hed throw in a kx500 engine. It may not be really feasible, but i like the sound of a free 500 2 stroke so were going to give it a shot. The daytona will be the backup plan. Of course, were going to have to try to strengthen the frame as much as possible. The goal is to have this done for mid ohio, so i have something small to ride around on.
