First CB750 I remember seeing would have been in 71. I was 13 and riding one of these.

My first bike, a well used, unloved hand me down from my older sister. It was the special model with the rusty tank, broken off kick start shaft and cut off front fender.
I was with my parents and we had just made it on a local car ferry as one of the last vehicles when a 750 parked behind us at the very back of the ship.
After the owner had left  I went over to check out this very cool looking bike.
Disc brake, 4 cylinder, then I saw it. It had 4 carbs and with the hours I had spent after school trying to keep my 50 going with carbs issues I thought "poor guy, he'll never keep this thing running"
How little did I know.😄

Hi gang.I first eyeballed a green Canadian Distributor 750 demo that was passed around to be thrashed by the Toronto dealers in the summer of 69..My connection to Nelson Motorcycles had it for a weekend.I had a quik ride on it and then bought a 1970 model in the spring of 70.Paid $1350 in the crate and have owned it ever since.  Rock On

1969, still in High School. Two guys got brand new CB750s in the city the school was in. One green, the other red. Big deal back then.
One of the guys always rode in city traffic with his feet dragging on the ground. We kids wondered if he was a lousy rider or just did it because it was cool?
The whole double CB750 issue was sort of overshadowed by the fact that another local enthusiast (with deep pockets) got himself a Münch "Mammut" around the same time. We drooled over that machine more than anything else.
1969- that was the year. This is the landmark year for me personally. This is when "my bikes" came to market. Everything before that doesn't really float my boat. Sorry for offending all the Norton, BSA, Triumph and Honda step-through owners... 8)
