Picked up this CL360 today
« on: October 23, 2023, 02:25:16 PM »
A family member was cleaning out their shed today and offered me this CL360 for free. Only have to let them ride it when I get it on the road. Lots of work but it will be a cool little restoration project.

Yeah man, just write up a new member intro as your first post there, they've got a manuals library and all the cool stuff like we have here.

Those 360's had a recall on a cam chain tensioner issue. If it got fixed the HONDA tech was supposed to put a couple dimples in the area of the engine number. Good luck with it...

There's a bunch of those out there with my Transistor Ignition in them, too, so tuneups last much longer. If the points work at all, it can use one!
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Congrats, always wanted a CL.  And it has the most important parts - the exhaust.

Consider just doing a "survivor" restore rather than a total restoration which would get you upside down in no time.

Evaporust followed by CorrosionX is one good route, but there are others.

Lovely bike! A few years ago I did this little CL200. Really nice machine, a friend of mine bought it for his son. Wish I still had it now my grandson is riding!

Does the left side cover come off on yours? The CL200 had to have the exhaust removed to get it off! Fortunately there was nothing important under it.

Beautiful bike! Yes, the left side cover came off without removing the exhaust. Had just enough wiggle room to remove it. Nothing but the air boxes behind both for me
