1911 PIERCE ARROW MOTORCYCLE!!
« on: May 18, 2018, 03:41:42 PM »
I was walking around a local bike swap meet, and look what I saw.   A unrestored...minus tires,  1911 Pierce Arrow 4cyl motorcycle. This was the first 4 cyl bike made.   This was made in Buffalo, for only a few years, and this is one of 25-50 known to exist.  Really cool to see something of this rarity at a local swap meet.

I dont think they are quite that rare, there is at least 2 here in BC.
Now that they make frames, more will get put together.
I doubt they are the first, Wilkinson maybe, and FN were being made before Pierce I am thinking.

That is sweet! Franks probably right, there were all sorts of engine configurations around by 1911, but that is a well engineered setup, even has shaft drive, I'd ride it! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

 They are repopping frames?  wow.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
