Little seat I made out of some scrap, later went on to get powder coated and a 1/2 inch piece of foam put on top

how do the cv carbs handle no filter on them ?

I ended up throwing the airbox back on^ the CV carbs have been a nightmare for me. Luckily the bike came with a extra set of carbs from another year (81?) That had the removable jets that were not pressed in.
