400f shift linkage upgrade on CB500 four
« on: June 23, 2018, 06:41:29 PM »
I'm trying to change the heim joint to the other side of the linkage on the shift lever. I ground the tip off  and gave it a few whacks with a punch, but no movement. Before I screw the thing up, any tips on removing it ? Thanks

I took it over to a friends house, who happens to have a vertical mill on hand, he machined the peened side, that made a flat surface for the stud flange, and made a little fixture to knock it out against...then pressed and peened it in on the other side....took all of fifteen minutes, Thanks, Aidan
