I am just looking to see if anyone has replaced or upgraded their charging system’s regulator and rectifier? Did you choose to go with a replacement and keep the regulator and rectifier separate, just like it came from the factory? Or did you go with the new combined options?

As far as I can tell, mine is working fine. I’ve just been thinking about replacing them for good measure, being that they’re 45 years old

Dont open up the vreg.  You'll let the 40+year old air out, which voids the warranty   ;D

If its working, leave it alone.
Spend the $$ on stuff that helps keep you alive.  Brakes, tires, suspension, better gear, etc.

...but yes, its been done.  Oregonmotorcycleparts and Ricksmotorsports make good products.

I'll second Flybox -- I haven't had any problems with 350F stock charging components, including a bike I've had for 20 years. Unlike some of the older twins I've had. If it ain't broke...
