pd42b Genuine Keihin Jets
« on: May 31, 2018, 08:01:48 am »
Happy to be on board here, great information everywhere.

I'm re-jetting my 78k but am having a difficult time finding Genuine Keihin Jets, especially pilot jets. A few sites I have seen that do offer them, do not display what applications they are for. For example, all they say is the part number and "series (21,22 etc.)". I have no clue what series I need or what pilot jets will fit into my carb. Anybosy know this information?

why do you need new jets?
The original ones will be just fine unless you are changing your intake or exhaust setup, and even if you do, the originals might be close enough..... unless you are going pods and a completely unrestricted exhaust.

^^^^the info Bankerdanny posted is good.  jetsrus are the best aftermarket jet mfr.  original keihins are nla.

According to JRU they are selling actual Keihin jets as well as a less expensive "OEM style" option.

PD carbs have "Push In" pilot jets that do get clogged solid, especially if the bike is unused for a while(sometimes as short as a few weeks) I know Sirius in Canada do the pilots as well

Did the 77 have PD carbs? all the PD's in the UK were push in, used to cause nightmares with used bikes on the showroom floor!
